The eighth edition of the annual promotional event in supporting the Dunav Ultra Cycling Route. A record number of participants from Bulgaria and Romania (143) start from the city of Vidin in the annual 700 km-long challenge.
The checkpoints in the edition were The Old Brewery – Lom, Radetsky ship-museum – Kozloduy, Diko Iliev Square – Oryahovo, Village Council Fountain 1950 – Leskovets, Memorial Square – Krushovene, Ulpia Oescus – Gigen, Nikopolski beach – town of Nikopol, fortress Dimum – town of Belene, house-museum Filip Totyu – town of Dve Mogili, Pantheon – city of Ruse, Ribarska mahala – town of Tutrakan, archeological complex Durostorum-Drustar – city of Silistra, White Swallow Square – General Toshevo.
The event’s cause is the promotion of over 110 settlements (small villages and towns along the Danube and Dobrudja) and the Dunav Ultra route as the most famous bicycle cycling route of its kind in Bulgaria.
Yavor Danailov (Bulgaria) was the first to reach the route’s endpoint in the village of Durankulak within 37:00:00 hrs
